"We were pleased with the quote that came back, $6,000," said Committee member (S2). The consultant will compile hydrographs, well logs, published geologic maps and other existing data rather than perform new field work, and the contractor estimated roughly four weeks to deliver a report summarizing current conditions.
Supporters said the study will give staff a consolidated, locally focused resource to inform later planning and permitting decisions. A participant cautioned that broad, long-term projections can vary; another argued locally compiled, cited sources will carry more weight than an unsourced internet search.
