Benson said the Selectboard requested separate estimates that differentiate the insurance‑covered elements of the damage claim and optional town improvements such as guardrail replacement, wing‑wall work, and potential stream armoring using boulders. Some of the suggested additional improvements may require permitting. The board hopes to receive estimates by early July for review at the July 14 meeting.
No award or repair plan was approved on June 23; the board intends to evaluate contractor estimates and insurance details at the next meeting.
