Board Receives Budget Committee Update; District Notes New Buses and Lead Testing

The Camden Central School District Board received updates from its Budget/Finance Committee and district business office on Nov. 10. The committee reviewed purchasing policy, vehicle needs including discussion of electric buses, and the 2025–26 budget. The committee will continue monitoring retirement forecasts and state budget developments.
Assistant Superintendent for Business Mrs. Jones said five new gas buses were delivered and will soon replace five retiring buses that will be auctioned. She also reported that lead testing at all four district buildings is scheduled for Nov. 11, with results expected in one to two months. The district plans to present a preliminary budget to the Board in January followed by public presentations in January and February.
