Paul EDR, the library administrator introduced by staff, outlined five scenarios designed to save money if council directs reductions in the FY27 budget. Option 1 would reduce daily hours at several branches (for example, opening at 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. at some branches and closing earlier) and would save about 52 part-time monthly hours per branch; staff estimated roughly $18,720 per year in part-time salary savings from the modest-hour changes.
