The board moved each item, took roll call and the motions passed.
Superintendent (Speaker: Superintendent) recommended the hires and told the board the substitute list includes staff to support transitions: "we wanted to give her an opportunity to be in that classroom with miss Spellman for that transition." The board also accepted resignations from Brianna Bull (middle school cheer coach) and Margaret Howerton (elementary cafeteria assistant) and approved an hour‑increase to a transportation position to cover special‑needs routing.
Board members noted the substitute and supplemental contracts are contingent on full compliance with state and district eligibility criteria. The superintendent said the actions are intended to ensure classroom coverage and smooth transitions while the district recruits permanent staff.
