The School Board of Independent School District No. 696 (Ely Public School District) convened a study session in the Media Center on April 27, 2026, called to order by Chair Coombe at 5:30 p.m. The minutes list directors Westlund, Coombe, Colarich and Omerza as present; Sjoberg and Moravitz were recorded absent. Those in attendance also included Superintendent Anne Oelke, Jordan Huntbatch (payroll, benefits and finance manager), Tim Leeson (transportation and facilities director), and reporters from The Ely Echo and The Timberjay.
