Lee Raspberry, Executive Director of Facilities & Support Services, delivered a construction update on the district’s 2023 bond program, reporting steady progress across multiple campuses. Highlights included Mina Elementary Phase 2 at approximately 78% complete, additions at Bastrop and Cedar Creek middle schools substantially complete with certificates of occupancy issued for the additions, and Riverside and Creekside middle school projects approximately 90% complete with new competition gyms and fine arts additions.
Raspberry said work at Bastrop High School is underway with structural and competition gym construction in progress and roofing planned to begin in summer 2026. The Police Administration and Operations facility was reported to be about 85% complete and on track for spring 2026 completion. Several renovation projects (Gateway and CRCA/Genesis) were out for bid with schedules targeting summer 2026 completion.
