Borger ISD board approves routine consent items, 2026–27 compensation plan

The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees met April 9, 2026, and opened the meeting at 6:02 p.m. Board President Payton Lumpkin stated, “Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that the meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.”
After an executive session that began at 6:02 p.m., the board reconvened in regular session at 7:51 p.m. and conducted routine business. Key actions included approval of the consent agenda (minutes, payroll, disbursements and several purchases), approval of the 2026–27 Compensation Plan, authorization for an earnest money contract for the FPC Tyler Street Building, and an increase to the district travel card limit to $75,000.
