Board approves multiple administrator and Chapter 21 contracts, pulls one pending evaluation

At the March 23 meeting the Chico ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple personnel contracts. The board approved Chapter 21 contracts for campus employees (with Mrs. Jessica McIver pulled for a separate vote and later approved 6-1), approved administrators including Dr. Lisa McDaniel (Special Programs Director) and Mrs. Amy James (Chico Elementary principal), and approved noncertified contracts for Facilities Director Mr. Carl McDaniel, Business Manager Mrs. Melody Parr, and Technology Director Mrs. Sheri Payne for 226 days each as presented.
The minutes record that the board pulled one middle-school Chapter 21 contract (Mrs. Lindsay Wigle) pending completion of an evaluation of appraisal; other campus and administrator contracts were approved by recorded votes. The separate vote on Mrs. Jessica McIver’s Chapter 21 contract passed 6-1 (Jada Ayala recorded the lone Nay). These personnel actions followed a closed session in which personnel matters were discussed under applicable sections of the Texas Government Code.
