Burleson ISD recognizes students for leadership and AP achievements
At the Sept. 8 meeting the board recognized Luke Chandler for a Lone Star Leader Award and dozens of 2025 graduates and current students for AP Capstone and AP Scholar honors across Burleson High, Centennial High and the Game Development Design School.

During special recognitions on Sept. 8, Dr. Mikala Hill invited Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Stacia Pearce to present student honors. The board celebrated Luke Chandler for earning the Lone Star Leader Award and read lists of students who received AP Capstone diplomas and AP Scholar distinctions among 2025 graduates and current students at district high schools.
