Forest County adopts Section 3, Section 504 transition plan and Fair Housing Resolution
The board approved a Forest County Section 3 Plan, a Section 504 & Transition Plan, and Resolution #8 of 2024 affirming fair housing protections under Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968.

At the Oct. 2 meeting, Forest County commissioners unanimously approved a Section 3 Plan intended to direct employment and economic opportunities generated by certain HUD financial assistance to low- and very-low‑income persons. The board also approved a Section 504 & Transition Plan, which the minutes describe as a policy to ensure that individuals with disabilities are not excluded from participation in federally assisted programs.
