School board directs RFQ for architects to support possible bond program

The motion was made by Mr. Bruce and seconded by Dr. Green; the vote was 6-0 (Ayes: Daniel, Rabe, Freeman, Green, Teague, Bruce).
Board members said the RFQ is intended to help the district evaluate and engage professionals who could develop designs and cost estimates should the board pursue a bond proposal. The motion explicitly authorized the Superintendent to "take all other action related thereto in order to assist the Board with engaging an architect/engineer for the District's potential bond program," allowing district staff to proceed with procurement steps. The board meeting opened at 7:30 p.m. and adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
