Panhandle ISD reports 580 students, down 46 from last year

Blair Brown delivered the district report at the Panhandle Independent School District board meeting on Dec. 17, 2025, saying total enrollment stood at 580 students as of Dec. 11, 2025. Brown noted the figure represents 46 fewer students than the 2024–2025 snapshot.
Brown provided a grade-level breakdown of enrollment: 265 elementary students, 132 junior-high students and 183 high-school students. The report also included routine items presented to the board — Monthly Financial Reports, Board Reports, Check Payments, the Bond Report and the Activity Fund Manual — and identified future agenda items. The board set its next regular meetings for Jan. 19 and Feb. 23, both at 6:00 p.m.
