Panhandle FFA team earns national third place; student places second individually

Trustees recognized the FFA Farm Business Management team at the Nov. 19 meeting after the team’s national results were announced at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. The board singled out students Samuel Weinheimer, Jack Sinclair, Kaleb Parra and Logan Leisher and teacher Makenzie Knipe for their placements and team rating.
According to the meeting record, "Everything culminated with the team earning 3rd place nationally and being recognized as a Gold Rated Team, and Samuel Weinheimer earning 2nd place individually out of over 200 finalists." The recognition noted the convention occurred at the end of October and highlighted the team’s national standing as a point of pride for the district.
