Legislator Shannon Logsdon raised multiple complaints about the county’s code enforcement arrangements, citing examples including shutdowns of a pool project in the Town of Cohocton and problems in the Village of Wayland. After discussion of jurisdictional limits and potential liability, the committee approved a motion authorizing the County Manager, in conjunction with the Purchasing Director, to issue an RFP for a second county code enforcement officer. The motion was made by Mrs. Logsdon, seconded by Mrs. Lando, and carried 5-0.
