Department heads and elected officials provided orientation briefings and described upcoming plans for county departments during the Jan. 13 meeting. Presenters included County Clerk Tammi Cox, County Appraiser Truette McQueen, Register of Deeds Shelby Walker, County Treasurer JoDee Copple, Emergency Management Director Marie Ballou and County Attorney Jeff Ebel. The minutes record that overviews were given to assist new commissioners in familiarizing themselves with departmental functions.
