Solano County Sheriff Brad DeWol and Undersheriff Bill Hornbrook led a public recognition ceremony celebrating new hires, promotions and employee awards at the Solano County Sheriff's Office. Undersheriff Bill Hornbrook opened the program and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Hornbrook introduced the sheriff and outlined the program: certificates, pinning family members and an oath of office for newly promoted staff. He noted representatives from local elected offices were present to deliver certificates, including staff from Congressman Mike Thompson's, Congressman John Garamendi's and Assemblywoman Lori Wilson's offices. "My name is Bill Hornbrook and I'm the under sheriff and I'm gonna try to get us through our agenda today," Hornbrook said as he began the ceremony.
The event included a series of individual recognitions (new hires and promotions), presentations of employees of the year, and years-of-service awards, and closed with an invitation to a nonalcoholic reception in the foyer. Sheriff DeWol closed the program by thanking families and attendees and inviting them to refreshments and a photo board.
