Council approves Lakeside sludge removal permit application; developer responsible for costs
The council approved a permit application allowing sludge from the Lakeside plant to be hauled to Easton Utilities; the developer will bear the associated costs and the Town's permit must name both entities.

James Cook of Rauch explained that sludge at the Lakeside plant must be hauled to Easton Utilities every six to eight months and that the Town's current permit allows hauling in one direction only. The submitted application would permit hauling from Trappe to Easton, and Attorney Lyndsey Ryan noted the permit must list both Trappe and Trappe East on the discharge permit. Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to approve the sludge removal application; Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
