The Pine County Board approved multiple personnel committee recommendations intended to reduce costs and align staffing to service needs. The board acknowledged the resignation of public health educator Nicholas Olsen and approved eliminating that position effective Sept. 19, 2025; staff estimated this action would generate approximately $82,000 in 2026 savings. The board also approved eliminating one full‑time child support officer position by Dec. 31, 2025, with an estimated 2026 savings of about $31,000.
