Senator Kornbach (Senator from Story) argued Senate Amendment 52‑24 should delete Division 13 on independent private instruction, saying current draft would allow an unlimited number of students in a home‑school model, permit tuition by instructors and enable issuance of diplomas without verification of academic achievement: "independent private instruction would allow an unlimited number of students into a, quote, unquote, home school, not the current limit of 4."
