Council adopts 2026 budget amendment adding $35,000 for digital reader boards; Facilities Fund reserve falls below policy

Finance Director Kristen Reed presented the second reading of the 2026 budget amendment (Ordinance 2841). She said she made small changes since the first reading, including adding an additional $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards to be paid from the street fund and split across funds using the department's usual IT allocation percentages. Reed also noted Fund 35 (the Facilities Fund) will be brought below the city's reserve policy as a result of the amendment.
