Representatives from Gresham Arthur Academy urged the board to increase the charter passthrough rate and to complete an audit of district sponsorship costs. Principal Kandice Burton said the current 80% passthrough "is no longer meeting their needs" and asked the board to increase the passthrough to 90% while completing an audit to determine actual sponsorship costs.
Crystal Sweeny (staff/parent) and Alexander Frank (parent and veteran) echoed the request, with Frank presenting data he said show the charter's performance and urging equitable funding. The board acknowledged the letter and asked administration to expedite the requested audit; no vote or immediate change to passthrough was taken at the meeting.
