School board accepts State Summer Learning grant and appropriates funds for summer programs

The North Bend School District approved Resolution 2026-07 to accept State Summer Learning grant funds and to appropriate the funds in the Special Revenue Funds for Support Services and Enterprise Community Service functions. Director Julie B. Hale read the resolution aloud and Superintendent Tim Crider explained the need for the appropriations; the motion passed unanimously (recorded 6–0).
The board recorded the action as an authorization to spend grant funds for multi-year summer learning activity intended to improve academic achievement, with an emphasis on literacy, student engagement and social-emotional supports. The district will record the grant in its Special Revenue Fund and follow standard grant reporting and appropriation requirements.
