The Mendota Unified School District Board of Trustees approved BP 0460 and AR 0460, the district's Local Control and Accountability Plan policies, during the Oct. 23 regular meeting following a second reading and opportunity for public comment.
The action was taken as part of the board's action items and passed by a unanimous vote. The board recorded approval of the action items by a 7-0 roll call following a motion to approve from Lupe Flores and a second from Sergio Valdez. The item had been noticed as a second-reading hearing earlier in the agenda.
Board leaders and staff framed the adoption as the next step in finalizing the district's LCAP policies; the approvals were listed under items 11.7 and 11.8 on the Oct. 23 agenda. The decision brings the district's written policy and administrative regulation for the LCAP into effect as approved at this meeting.
The board will consider next steps and implementation details in subsequent public meetings; the next scheduled board meeting is Nov. 13, 2024.
