The city attorney told the commission several members still need required ethics training hours and offered to provide interactive, in-person sessions in chambers so commissioners can meet their continuing-education requirements before year-end. He noted that two of the required hours must be in-person or interactive rather than webcast.
Commissioners discussed availability and penciled in a 5:30 p.m. session on Nov. 19, with an additional 5:30 slot before the Dec. 10 meeting as a backup. The city attorney said he will work with staff and individual commissioners to accommodate those who need additional hours and will include required topics such as the Sunshine Law, public records, and county ethics rules.
