Vice‑Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened a public hearing at 2:00 p.m. to consider the use of Title III funds to improve and update Kittitas County Search and Rescue equipment. Nancy Shaff, the county’s chief administrative deputy, told the board the county had "received just over $40,000.00 Title III funds from the U.S. Forest Service through Washington State" and that the funds were intended for equipment upgrades in the Search and Rescue division.
