Committee members asked about the role of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) in transmission planning for large data‑center connections. Corey Singletary said transmission upgrades typically go through the MISO transmission expansion process (MTEP) and that once ATC or another transmission owner identifies a need, the cost may be pooled and spread across utilities or regions depending on allocation rules.
