Conservancy to fund fall tree program; commission to update borough order form

Chair told the commission that the Lower Merion Conservancy will fund the fall 2026 tree program and that the borough will not pay for yard trees this season. "This year, due to the generosity of... the Lower Merion Conservancy is paying for all the trees," Chair stated, and members said promotional materials and the borough order form must be updated to reflect species availability and funding source to avoid complaints about taxpayer money being used for private-yard plantings.
