Development coordinator: Cedars Section 2 replat of Lots 6 and 7 meets county rules, no protests

Grimes County staff reported that a proposed replat to combine Lots 6 and 7 in Cedars Section 2 (Precinct 2) complies with county regulations and drew no protests during a Sept. 3 public hearing.
Sean King, the county’s development coordinator, told the commissioners that a resident is buying the two lots and intends to combine them. “They have no problem with this, and everything meets our regulations,” King said. Chair called for public comment and, after a brief pause and no speakers, left the public hearing open while proceeding through the agenda.
The record shows the replat was reviewed for setbacks and septic where applicable; no objections from the neighborhood were recorded in the hearing. The court subsequently took a motion to adjourn the public hearing and declared it closed at 8:51 a.m.
