The board approved internal fund transfers to support one additional well-redevelopment project, referred to in the meeting as "well number 10." Director Joseph Fizzino explained the packet contained transfers from depreciation and an older CNR balance to consolidate funds for the well work. "So between what we had in the line and this additional money, 25 and 15, we're looking to get another well complete this year," Fizzino said, describing the combined source of funds.
Members praised the reallocation as a cost-saving approach and noted the department's intent to use internal crews to install a portion of the water main from Arthambe Road to the proposed pump-station site to reduce contractor costs. Staff said they will circulate corrected, clarified budget and fund-balance pages after the packet scanning errors are fixed.
