Greg Kennon, Grimes County IT director, told commissioners the county completed a storage expansion and resolved a brief connectivity issue affecting a small number of workstations. He described an ongoing six-month project to link county computer logins with county email so password changes will synchronize across systems. "This is a major step for us," Kennon said of the account-integration project.
Kennon also described the planned broadcast-platform migration from Granicus to CivicPlus and said training sessions have been recorded; he recommended cross-training staff and adding redundancy for agenda and broadcasting functions. He noted the new system will allow adding more cameras to improve public visibility in the chamber and that staff are working with the vendor to import legacy videos and fix audio routing issues.
