The Town Manager reported she has submitted a formal letter to the Connecticut Department of Transportation requesting a design exception for the Waterside Lane Bridge project that would permit a one-lane bridge with two pedestrian sidewalks. The memorandum states the request is based on the roadway's low average daily traffic, seasonal use, and the absence of anticipated future development that would justify a two-lane structure.
