Commission backs resolution recognizing 9-1-1 telecommunicators as first responders
By voice vote the commission approved Resolution 042125034 supporting state and federal efforts (the "9-1-1 Saves Act") to reclassify emergency telecommunicators as first responders, which would increase retirement benefits if state law passes.

The Robertson County Commission on April 21 adopted Resolution 042125034 supporting recognition of emergency telecommunicators as first responders. Commissioner Stubblefield introduced the resolution and said dispatchers "are the first responders to our first responders" and carry the same emotional and operational load as field personnel.
