The Elko County Planning Commission on July 1 voted to forward DLLP26-001, an application from Paul and Laurie Botteri to divide a ~285.031-acre parcel into two large parcels including one approximately 40 acres in size, to the Elko County Board of County Commissioners with staff recommendations.
Corey, planning staff, told the commission the tentative map complies with the county’s large-parcel map standards but recommended approval with conditions requiring compliance with the Nevada Revised Statutes and Elko County code at the time of development. Applicant Paul Buterri signed in and described the parcel’s location off Lower Lemuel Road and said the new parcel would reserve an easement at an existing gate to provide access. "So it's a nice 40 acre parcel," Buterri said.
Following staff presentation and a brief exchange clarifying parcel numbering and access, Commissioner Hartley moved to forward the recommendation and Commissioner Graborski seconded. The commission carried the motion by voice vote and directed the item move to the Board of County Commissioners for final action. The forwarded staff conditions require that the applicant meet state and county subdivision and development standards before final map recordation.
