County considers cloud migration for 911 CAD as current system nears end of support

Tyler Technologies told Randolph County commissioners the county’s 911 CAD system, in service since 2019, runs on Microsoft 2016 which will lose updates in January 2027. The vendor offered a replicated on-premise option (~$66,000) and a cloud-hosted option (~$141,000) with first-year county costs discussed near $260,000 and annual maintenance about $75,000.
