BLM: Crescent Valley geothermal decision signed July 16; ORMAT to mobilize rig

She said ORMAT is planning to mobilize a drill rig and target the beginning of next week to drill two wells permitted under the exploration plan.
Buentes also said the draft environmental assessment received four comment letters and that the final EA is available on the planning website; she noted typical public concerns focused on water and hydrology. The lease-sale schedule was discussed separately: a 30-day public comment on the draft EA for the 2025 geothermal lease sale closed with four comments and the sale is targeted for October after finalization.
