Forest Recreation Officer Jacob Engelman reviewed the Sheriff’s Office 2025–2026 ATV Law Enforcement Report and told the committee there were no concerns or recommendations for changing the county ATV/UTV ordinance; Engelman also reviewed Wisconsin DNR safety laws that took effect June 1, 2026.

Forest Recreation Officer Jacob Engelman presented the Sheriff’s Office 2025–2026 ATV Law Enforcement Report to the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee on June 3 and told the committee he had "no concerns or recommendations regarding the current ATV/UTV policy." Engelman also reviewed several Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources ATV/UTV safety laws that took effect June 1, 2026, aimed at improving rider safety and reducing off-highway vehicle fatalities.
