The department presented an overview of its 2025 canvassing work to reduce mosquito activity, reporting that canvasser Joseph Wirtz identified 79 sites needing encouragement or remediation. The director noted that, aside from direct patient-care needs, vector control is one of the department’s programs funded with tax-levy dollars and estimated the annual tax-levy contribution at under $4,500.
