The board voted Dec. 23 to approve the hiring of Taylor Sheeks for the county jail at a rate of $24.00 per hour, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The minutes record: "Moved by Vanden Hull, seconded by Thomas to approve Jail new hire Taylor Sheeks at $24.00 per hour effective January 1, 2026. Motion carried by all ayes."
