Members discussed the limits of making commission decisions without a quorum and the need for better documentation from task groups.
A commissioner noted the commission lacked a full quorum for several items and reminded members that task-group meetings can meet publicly to tighten logistics but cannot substitute for full-commission votes. "Without Corey being here, I believe we had a quorum. We gotta close," one commissioner said, and meeting staff clarified that formal motions requiring a commission vote would be delayed until a quorum is present.
Commissioners agreed to document task-group meetings with minutes, share vendor databases and assign outreach tasks to specific members so the full commission could review progress at the next meeting. The commission set its next full meeting for Sept. 3 and asked task groups to report progress then.
