At the April 9 Maple School District Board of Trustees meeting, Principal Christy Herstad introduced county Oral Language Contest participants from Maple Elementary and three students — Olive, Isabella and Mckenna — delivered their oral-language performances for the board.
Herstad told trustees the presentations represented the district’s participants in the county competition and highlighted classroom instruction that prepared students to compete. The student performances were followed by a public comment from Matt Poettgen, who "commended Maple and the administration for doing a great job," according to the meeting minutes. The board expressed appreciation for the students and staff in attendance.
