Berrien County completes four first-round administrator interviews

The Berrien County Board of Commissioners completed first-round interviews of four applicants for the county administrator position on June 11. Each applicant introduced themselves and answered a standard set of questions administered by HR Director Kristin Reynolds: Joshua Eggleson (interview 10:05–10:36 A.M.), Greg Vlietstra (10:59–11:39 A.M.), Howard Fink (12:37–1:18 P.M.) and Kipling Belcher (1:32–2:26 P.M.).
The board paused for two breaks, including a lunch recess at 11:40 A.M.; Commissioner Robert Harrison reminded members they were not permitted to discuss candidates during the lunch break. HR Director Kristin Reynolds led questioning during each session, and the minutes record that each interviewee provided a brief job and personal history. The board recessed and later reconvened to consider next steps with the assistance of consultant Chet Janik from the Michigan Leadership Institute.
