On March 9 the board voted to authorize Abernathy ISD to submit a grant application to the Office of the Governor (OOG) for the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) Mitigation Project. The motion was made by Ty Horsford and seconded by Manuel Adames Jr.; it passed 6–0 with one trustee absent.
