Board selects Competitive Sealed Proposals for upcoming bond construction work

The Aquilla ISD Board voted to use Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) as the procurement method for the district's forthcoming bond construction project following a presentation by Wade Zimmer on procurement options. Zimmer told the board CSP permits a one-time evaluation based on qualifications and allows bidders to submit full-price proposals; the board heard that Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) typically involves a fee-based initial price and later subcontractor selection and is often chosen prior to a bond election.
