Trustees voted 4–3 on March 12 to adopt Bluebonnet Learning as the district's instructional mathematics materials for kindergarten through Algebra 2. Supporters, including Trustee Justin Chapa and Trustee Brooklyn Richardson, cited the curriculum's alignment, explicit instruction model, built-in assessments and supports for diverse learners. Opponents raised concerns about pacing flexibility, differentiation for varied student needs, reliance on prewritten lessons, and fewer digital features than competing options.
