Commissioners accept two $301 bids for surplus probation mowers
Forest County accepted the two highest bids for two surplus probation mowers on Sept. 17, awarding each of the top bidders $301.00; the board recorded the bidders and accepted the high bids unanimously.

Bids were opened for two Probation Department lawn mowers (a 1998 Cub Cadet and a 2015 Ariens). Bidders listed included Charles J. Six (offering $279.80 for both mowers), Rachel Ross ($301.00) and Lynette Greathouse ($301.00). Commissioner Robert Snyder moved to accept the two highest bids from Rachel Ross and Lynette Greathouse; Commissioner Patrick Kline seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
