The Canadian ISD Board voted on May 12 to increase substitute teacher pay for the upcoming school year. Trustee Jessica Cowden moved to approve the increase and Trustee Tatum Pennington seconded; the motion passed with one abstention from Trustee Bryan Bartlett, recorded in the minutes as "Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Abstain: 1."
