Lyndon Station fire chief reports higher response hours, training planned for Feb. 16

Fire Chief Troy Madland reported the department recorded 231 hours so far this year (versus 126.5 at the same time last year), six calls last month totaling 110 hours including a large structure fire, and that six officers will attend state-required training beginning Feb. 16 in New Lisbon; the board will address a gas-card issue and the use of Village Hall for 4‑H at a later meeting.

Fire Chief Troy Madland told trustees the department has logged 231 hours year-to-date compared with 126.5 hours at the same point last year. During the past month the department responded to six calls totaling 110 hours, including a large structure fire. Chief Madland said six officers are scheduled to attend state-required training beginning Feb. 16 in New Lisbon; some class costs will be covered by state funding.
