During its Oct. 20 meeting the Chapel Hill ISD board reviewed several facility maintenance projects that district staff described as expected to exceed $50,000. Jaime Swanson, Director of Child Nutrition, outlined the Kissam Elementary walk-in cooler and freezer replacement, citing food safety, energy efficiency and safety improvements. Christopher Blake reported ceiling tile replacement at Wise Elementary and flooring replacement at Jackson Elementary; Blake said funding for the Wise and Jackson projects was previously approved at the July board meeting.
