The Chisum ISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution and ordinance to set the 2024–2025 property tax rate at $1.0894. Trustee Travis Ball moved the rate and Craig Burns seconded; the minutes record the motion as: "I move that the property tax rate be decreased by the adoption of a tax rate of $1.0894 which is effectively a 6.0 percent decrease in the tax rate."
